The department started functioning as infrastructure development department and supporting department in 2002, along with the inception of the college. It developed into an independent full-fledged department in 2005, with the initiation of the Civil Engineering program. The department currently offers B. Tech. degree in Civil Engineering with an annual intake of 60 students. M. Tech. degree course commenced in 2012, which now offers quality education in Computer Aided Structural Engineering, with an annual intake of 18 students. From the  inception stage itself, the department has been functioning with a superior level of discipline, academic performance, research, and extracurricular activities.  

 

  The backbone of the department is a group of energetic and highly dedicated faculty members, specialized in various streams. Experienced supporting staff members and laboratories with sophisticated equipment are there to support them. The department aims to raise competent students in the field of Civil Engineering, through disciplined teamwork and practical oriented training. 

 

  Besides classroom training, the department offers the facility to attend technical visits and expert talk to achieve exposure in the practical fields. Expert training is offered to our students for securing placements in distinguished organizations.  Budding entrepreneurs among the students are offered all kinds of supports through the IEDC cell. Values of social commitment are implanted in their soul through social service activities implemented through NSS and YRC cells of college.
